data-calls with vgetty 1.1.5 and Creatix LC 144 VF

Thanks for your answer.
Could anybody help me with the second part of my problem which I mentioned
in my orignal post?
The Elsa 28.8, calling using Laplink, connects perfectly with my
LC 144 VF, driven by vgetty 1.1.5 and seems to call /bin/login.
See the logfile in my original post.
But then nothing!
No logon. On the calling side, Laplink reports 'Der host antwortet nicht'
or something to that matter a while after it reported 'Verbindung
hergestellt'.
On the called side, vgetty just exits, see my original post.
With Laplink there is an option to send username and password. I tried
both setting and not setting this option, with the very same effect.

What is wrong?
