first. It has some tricks for setting up USR modems. Maybe this solves your
problems.

That is so old, that I'm not going to accept any patch against that release.
Please upgrade to the latest mgetty beta on ftp.leo.org.

Great... what about the vm logfile? That would be much more interesting.

Get the latest version first, then read the WWW page above and then ask
again with a complete logfile, that shows the problem (highest debug level)
