Fax-software

Hi !

I'm looking for a good fax-software which works well together
with mgetty 1.1.6. 

I tried sendfax, and it would normally fit my needs, 
but every time I make a g3-fax with "cat <textfile> | pbmtext | pbmtog3 >
<faxfile>, the letters of that fax can't be read by the receiver, because
they are so small.

Can anyboy recommend a program/tool which works alright in this
case or has a solution to my problem ?
