Hmmm. I don't think this is a mgetty or linux problem -- after all, you
change something on the *calling* side which makes it go / fail. Maybe
something in the cabling or the drivers on the Winblows side is broken.

Don't use setserial. Just set mgetty to 115200.

*From the log file, mgetty's part works fine. It CONNECTs, recognizes the
PPP frame, and forks off pppd.

Sounds like a problem with the settings on the Winblows machine. But this
can only be answered by looking at the pppd log file (and not by me
anyway, as I am not a PPP expert, and not giving support for it).
