The modem is *weird*. It should return *verbose* result codes ("OK"), not
numerical ones ("0"). After all, this is what ATV1 is for.

Hmm. Maybe this is the command echo of the "ATV1Q0" command (and the modem
got only the last byte), because the modem is not ready this quickly after 
the port becomes active. Please try changing the "ATV1Q0" init string in
sendfax.c to "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAATV1Q0" and see whether this changes anything.

This was someone pressing ctrl-C - but it would have timed out soon
afterwards anyway.
