 If you are using a Practical Peripherals modem with mgetty to receive FAXes,
please read on.

 I am using a Practical Peripherals PM288MT II V.34 modem with mgetty and
rarely am able to receive a FAX sent by a FAX machine which uses "fine"
resolution. Normal resolution FAXes arrive without trouble as well as some
fine resolution FAXes sent by FAX modems. Attached is an mgetty log
documenting a failure.

 Gert Doering, Practical Peripherals, and I have corresponded about this
issue but have not yet solved the problem. Gert and I believe a modem firmware
or logic problem is at fault. Practical Peripherals thinks the "application
software" has a problem.

 How is your modem configured? These are my ATZ settings:

Is this likely a limitation of the modem or can the mgetty configuration be
changed to receive FAX machine fine resolution FAXes?
