Mgetty

Hello, I have been having problems with mgetty, I instaled it and it can
look at the ports of my equinox card, but when I call from another computer
it stop after show me the login prompt. So far I'm only intered in the
exchange of e-mail via UUCP.

I have in my /usr/local/etc/mgetty.config the next configuration:

debug 5
fax-id 49 89 xxxxxxxx
speed 38400
port-owner=uucp
port-group=uucp
port-mode=0664
fax-owner=root
fax-group=uucp
fax-mode=0640

I have in /etc/gettydefs

vc# B9600 SANE # B9600 SANE -ISTRIP CLOCAL #@S login: #vc
38400# B38400 CS8 CRTSCTS # B38400 SANE -ISTRIP CRTSCTS #@S login: #38400
y asi sucesivamente con 19200, 57600, 9600

Is something wrong with this configuration?


I have in /etc/inittab :
S1:2345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/mgetty -x 5 ttyQ1a1

NOTE: I have a equinox card with 8 ports which devices are ttyQ1a1 until 8
and cuq1a1 until 8.

I got another problem, when I enable more than one port It tell me:
INIT: respawning too fast, pausing for 5 minutes

Could someone tell me what is happening?
