ppp hangs

  I have been running Mgetty for the last year without any problems
untill now and was wandering if anyone could help me with this little
problem.
  Sometimes my modems just DONT get the "pppd[9948]: Exit." and the
ppp user is still loged in and the modem is hung and I have to kill the
ppp process to get the modem to reset. Im not sure if its just one user
thats doing it or what. Has anyone had this problem before?
  I found out that the user that is doing this to me is trying to
run a Windows95NT system and does not know how to set it up. I dont know
also. I would think that nomater what the users try and do on the login
process the system will still reset after they logged off.

The modem hangs here and she logs off. then i reset the modem by killing
the process and get this.
