I'm going to revise my fax mode for Emacs the next days.
It will become part of the standard GNU Emacs distribution.

If you are using Fax mode and wish to have additional features
please let me know. I'll try to add them.

I for myself have only one item on my wish list: an output filter
for GNU enscript. I would appreciate it if anybody sends me his/her
preferred command line options and/or an example input file (especially
if you include graphics with GNU enscript's escape feature).

For those people who are now curious about Fax mode, see

Fax mode is a major mode for Emacs and it looks and works like Mail
mode. There are also low-level commands for sending any part of an
Emacs buffer directly to the fax sub-system.

Here is an incomplete list of additional features:

* Fully customizable. Works with virtually any fax sub-system, for
 example, HylaFax, and mgetty+sendfax.
* Supports fax aliases including dialing lists and recursive
 definitions.
* Rewriting of phone numbers, for example, automatically remove the
 international access code from a recipient's phone number.
* File attachments.
* Snail address database interface. Examples for `edb' and `forms'
 are included.
* Output filters. Text (`write-region'), PostScript (`ps-print-region',
 or `ps-print-region-with-faces') and a hybrid text/TeX filter are
 available by default.
