PPP/Mgetty hang-up problem HELP Please????

Hmmm.  Do I understand this correctly, you're using the Cyclades card now,
and everything works?  In that case, the problem should be somewhere in
the Digiboard drivers (or maybe the hardware/cabling).

Not that I know much about Linux/PPP...

This is, if I remember right, answered in the mgetty or PPP FAQ.  You
have to call pppd with the "login" argument, and you might need a patch to
pppd to update the correct "utmp/wtmp" files (location changed over time).
