AutoPPP problems

My login.config in the etc/mgetty & sendfax directory reads as follows:
/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd file /etc/ppp/options.server
(this is from memory, but it's pretty close)
I've tried several variations as suggested in various how to articles,
but no AutoPPP.
