vgetty/mgetty - different fax reception ?

Did you find these lines in the one where you can only get 2400
reception ? This setup the fax modem to use the maximum speed
(14400) if possible and from there downward.

I don't know about vgetty may be it is invalid to set these
in voice mode ?
