Zoltrix UMC VOICE/FAX/DATA

Has anyone successfully got mgetty/vgetty working with
a Zoltrix 14.4 VOICE/FAX/DATA with UMC Chipset?

Mine answers the phone, tries to play "choose_language" file,
but instead, hangs up immediately and reports:

05/06 11:34:01 ua1   shell(1): PLAY /usr/spool/voice/messages/select_language
05/06 11:34:01 ua1   vgetty(1): PLAYING
05/06 11:34:01 ua1  playing voice file
/usr/spool/voice/messages/select_language
05/06 11:34:01 ua1   vgetty: raw modem data header found
05/06 11:34:01 ua1  vgetty: Wrong modem type found
05/06 11:34:01 ua1   vgetty(1): ERROR
05/06 11:34:01 ua1   vgetty(1): READY

I'm not sure what to do...
