Help: Tv Picture displaced to side of Kwintv.

I've made a great deal of progress in recent days, having scrapped the prefab 2.2.x kernel module, and instead compiled BTTV from scratch.  

I have gotten it somewhat up and running, but the picture is displaced to the side of the tuner.  This behavior is identical in both Kwintv, and Xawtv.  As well, Kwintv Core dumps if I attempt to save my settings after scanning for channels.  If I cancel, and then just cancel, it's ok.   In general, it seems eager to coredump. 

I am using an Avermedia TvPhone Card, Kernel 2.2.7, Kwintv0.7.1, and BTTV 0.6.4.  I am in Canada, and recieve an NTSC signal.  

Any help is appreciated.  Here are the relevant options from driver/Makefile:
