vgetty fails to switch to data ... solved !

Actually, thanks to Ray - I didn't think of that issue, so thanks for
pointing it out to me.

*done* (for this one, most others are handled correctly anyway because the
code is shared better between "m" and "v"getty parts).

Will be in 1.1.21, or you can use the patch that I sent to Bjoern today.
