DTMF codes instead of "RING" for vgetty ?

Unless I'm missing something this only works if you let vgetty/mvm answer
the call. That's fine if all you want is messaging/fax/data but what I had
in mind was the situation where you actually want to talk to the person most
of the time. Also, using dtmf instead of RING would alow you to control mvm
from a phone connected directly to the modem rather thant having to call in
from another line. You could also use it to have vgetty keep track of all
outgoing calls (number dialed and time of the call). The modem is already
telling us every time it goes off-hook so it seems only natural to use that
info. for something.
