There is an ITU standard for voice, but only few vendors use it (it's
based on the AT+V command set, formerly known as IS-101).

Ugh. Whatever happend to "return a numeric code to ATI"? Talk about
standards...

Voice is there, but it's not +FCLASS=8, but +FCLASS=80. Strange indeed.
