Faxfilter not extracting fax number

Actually, you can add most any characters before the 'FAX#nnn-nnn-nnnn' part
of the filename, or alpha characters after it which appear to get ignored by the faxfilter.
I've also looked in the /tmp directory where the files are stored prior to getting read by
the faxfilter and they seem to be given temporary filenames, such as 'teri.00a78cc9', so there
doesn't appear to be any collision or overwriting... but perhaps I'm being too simplistic
about it. The main problem I see is using programs that require the DOS 8.3 naming
convention. I wonder if there's any other way to get the fax number into the header
of the postscript file so that it's not broken up by Windows 98 programs.

The problem, of course, beinge that if you have 2 faxes queued up to
the same number, the new one will overwrite the old one. :-(
