Login Problem - mgetty and Redhat Linux 5.2

I have a slight suspicion what might be causing this.  How are you calling
mgetty?  Do you run it from the command line or from /etc/inittab?

Could you retry this with 1.1.20, and if the problem still occurs, send
the log of one call (one! just the lines from the mgetty version number up
to the #### line)?
