Thank you, Frank.  This way only the sig would be unreadable by _any_
brain-dead mailer.

The key sequence:

  |      pipe
  ^R     raw output
  less   self-explaining
  ^M     Enter

...does the job, but not like having plain text displaying immediately
onscreen.
