This is interesting indeed. Your modem tells you "the connection is
finished, there is nothing to send or receive, good night". (But that is
no error code! It's the "all over, all is fine" status code).
So, either there was nothing to send at the other end (someone tried fax
polling?) or your modem has a severe case of Rockwellitis, also known as
brain-damage.
