Can't compile mgetty on Redhat 5.0

After reading the docs and searching Usenet, I can't find an answer to this
problem.  I'm trying to compile on Redhat Linux 5.0 and receive the
following error message:

logfile.c:57: conflicting types for 'sys_errlist'
make: *** [logfile.0] Error 1

The make then aborts.  I'm certain that it must be something simple which
I've missed.  Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
