Hmmm, it indeed recommends the Multitech modem for F+D+V, but only because
I got reports telling me that it works nicely.

Please check the mailing list archives (Marc, not you, but the one having
this modem, sorry, forgot your name and don't have the mail here on my
notebook...) who had the Multitech modem, and ask him for firmware details.

I think this is a very good idea.  Let's do that.

Kind of a world-writable "modems.db" :-) -- after all, it's an open
community, and everybody can immediately profit.

I think you'll get the occasional "junk entry", but most data will be
"good".  I am more afraid of "not interested" -- people just use mgetty,
but don't care enough to actively contribute [this is mainly true for
people being new to the net and to Free Software].

But let's see...

Do you want to run this on Poseidon or on Alpha?
