Basically, this is not a real mgetty question -- "mesg n" doesn't do more
than setting the tty's permission to "600".
While I think that pppd should change that, you can easily achieve it with
a small wrapper called from login.config.
(IIRC the permissions should be 0600 anyway when waiting for the login
name - or AutoPPP in that case - could anybody please verify this?)
