I'd rather not do that -- vgetty is still broken, and I was burnt once
by releasing a version with broken vgetty, because Marc got all those
"it doesn't work" mails...

Well, yes.  But for such simple solution, it's overkill, so I'd prefer to
keep the old code.

Hmmm, is support for "dialin.config" compiled in?  It has to be activated
in policy.h...
