Most likely, it doesn't like the format your modem delivers it in. Or
you've hit a bug.

Strange indeed. It *does* see the called MSN.

... but somehow doesn't pass it 'up'. For me (1.1.20, "-current") it
looks like this (calling myself):
06/07 20:31:33 y5d wfr: waiting for ``RING''
06/07 20:31:33 y5d got: [0a]RING[0d]
06/07 20:31:33 y5d wfr: rc=0, drn=0
06/07 20:31:33 y5d wfr: waiting for ``RING''
06/07 20:31:33 y5d got: [0a]FM:8935655024 TO:35655024[0d]
06/07 20:31:33 y5d ZyXEL: 'FM:8935655024 TO:35655024'
06/07 20:31:33 y5d MSN: '35655024'
06/07 20:31:33 y5d wfr: rc=0, drn=4
06/07 20:31:33 y5d CND: program "/usr/local/etc/mgetty+sendfax/cbackhack tty5d '8935655024' '' 4 '35655024' >/dev/console 2>&1 </dev/null"
06/07 20:31:34 y5d CND: rc=0x100

Which is not how things should be.
Hmmm. What happens if you configure an "msn-list 1 2 3 4 9" in your
mgetty.config?
> Is this the way it should to it? How can I log the MSN then?
No - it really works via cnd-program. Which version exactly do you use?
"1.1.20 out of the box", or -current, or -current plus Marc's patch?

No, to call_program the stuff is exported via environment variables
(CALLER_ID and CALLED_NR).
