Stopping notife emails

I've been thinking about this. If I do use 1. or 2. above I assume
that this will mean there is no way that mgetty can send out _any_
emails. Apart from the new fax notification emails that are annoying
me, what other emails can mgetty generate - are there any warnings etc
that I really do need to see? The will new_fax always send a 0 page
email under error conditions so that I know what's going on?
