USR Flash: I finally got it!

Sorry for the last help mail: Finally it runs perfectly.

The problem was indeed not the DLE messages sent out by my modem, but as
I did not catch all necessary changes I decided to put up a list which
might be helpful for beginners:

* To solve playing errors which result in whirring sound at ADCPM -
files and noise at GSM - files it is necessary to increase the modem
speed in voice.conf. I set it up to 115200. Important: Hardware - Flow
must be activated (this is the default option).

* The newest version is necessary (1.1.21) in order to avoid hangups
during recording which result from bugs of almost all new USR Firmware
Revisions.

* To test the sound of greeting messages directly via modem, the modem
device must appear in voice.conf at the vm-section (explanations can be
found there). Then "vm play -s FILE.RMD" plays messages stored in the
right format via modem-speaker.

With these hints (which indeed are only hints for newcomers who don't
have understood the whole configuration structure - like me), some
problems (at least the ones I had) can be solved.

Last but not least: Has anyone excperience in DTMF - Tone detection with
USR - modems? The reason is that I want to include sone remote control
(e.g. playing new incoming messages). There are a few examples, I know,
but before I start configuring, I would like to know some experiences.
