Voice Modem freezes ...

Hello folks,

Has anyone experienced a peculiar situation, where a particular voice
command elicits no response from the modem in voice mode -

for e.g. AT#VTX, or AT#VTD, sometimes get no response from
the voice modem (a Rockwell generic / or a GVC / or a Lanbit
- i tried 2 or 3 different models).

The funny thing is that after this happens, the OH (off hook) LED
remains
on i.e.the modem is off-hook (because again, the ATH did not
elicit a response), but is happily responding to later commands
AT&F&K6 ... etc., with an OK although its still off-hook. And pulling
the DTR does not put it on-hook either, because its not in data mode
anyway.

Has anyone faced such situations before, and if so, what can
be done ..... Gert / Marc - any help or insights would be greatly
appreciated.
