login.config does not contain a line starting with "/AutoPPP/". Insert
one, as I have recommended yesterday, then come back.
If it still doesn't work, post a useful mgetty logfile, taken with "-x5".

This already tells everything: mgetty has recognized the PPP call, but
there is no line in login.config telling mgetty how to handle this (or the
permissions of login.config are bad), and so the call is handed to
/bin/login.
(Just as a side note: look at the *mgetty* log file, not at the global
syslog file - the mgetty file contains much more information).
