How do you change the gain?

I've been through the Rockwell.c file, and the transmit_gain variable (as
set in the voice.conf file) is not used!

I modified Rockwell.c to output AT#TL=7FFF during the init sequence, but
this command generates an error when used. A closer inspection of the
documentation reveals that this comand appears to apply only to the
handeset/speaker, not the output volume, as the docs say thatthis command
will "generate an error what the phone line is selected", whatever that
means.

I though this might have been the case =8^(!

My thoughts exactly.

But how?
