Kvoice should auto config itself, but I have had various results from
using that method. I would suggest using ksendfax to get everything
working, then switch to Kvoice. Under Ksendfax, look in the help file,
configuration options and it lists samples for hylafax, mgetty-sendfax
and efax. The settings for mgetty-sendfax work(not sure about the others,
but would assume so) If mgetty is setup right, try sending a fax anywhere
as a test. You should see a small log window showing what is happening.
Ksendfax just spools the fax, so you will need to do faxrunq to actually
send it now. Once you can send a fax, then run Kvoice. (You will need
vgetty installed) Kvoice picks it settings and directories from the mgetty
config file. You can set the paths under options-setup-directories, but
voice and fax dirs are relative to the top one. I have /var/spool as the
main one with fax and voice under that.
Kvoice uses kfax to view faxes and looks in /var/spool/fax/incoming, and
if you have any faxes there, they should show up in the window(box).
I hope this is not too confusing.(g)
