Timeout for AutoPPP login - and an add-on for the mgetty/vgetty program...

Hi There

I have now successfully (=3D almost tested) created a small addition to =
the mgetty.c / vgetty.c, which makes it
possible to call the CND_CHECK program already after 2 rings, and take =
the return value from this as the
number of rings to wait in total for the present call.

This is very useful for MSN ISDN...!!!

Does this hold any interest, Marc and Gert...?


Furthermore, I have a problem with the login:

A timeout of 4 minutes for a 'wrong number' when answering in FAX_MODE =
(or DATA_MODE)
is rather high, as the phone line does not pick up any other calls in =
that period. Is there any
way of decreasing this to, say, 20 or 30 seconds?
