Gert,
This mail is mainly addressed to you, but I figured I'd drop it to the
list, and let others take a shot too.
For three years now I've been using a USR 33.6 Sporty for my
voice/data/fax. And for two of those years it's worked flawlessly (shocking,
huh?) under vgetty. Although......
I find now that I can call in from a remote location, initiate PPP,
ONLY with a windoz box. When I connect with another LINUX (unix) box, I DO get
assigned an IP address on my class C network ( 192.168.10.175 ), but I'm unable
to ping, telnet, ftp, http, ssh, etc..... Yet, if I use one of the damnable
windoz boxes, I'm able to do all of the above!! (sigh)
What, if anything, could have changed that would/could cause this to
occur??
P-II 400
128 meg RAM
Western Digital 10 ATA66 hard drive
mgetty 1.18
ppp 2.3.5-2
If there are any questions concerning equipment, or setup, please
ask.....
Griz
