Hi,
I finally did it :-) - 1.1.21 is released. (There are dozens of things
that I really wanted to get into it, but didn't find time).
Nothing really great is included, but a number of small things that people
will like...
* PGP signed packaging -> you get proof that *I* shipped this
* for those of you that switch off their modems and do not like mgetty's
complaints: set "need-dsr true" in mgetty.config, and mgetty will
wait with the initialization until DSR becomes active (without
logging WARN or ERRORs).
* flow control for faxing can be set from sendfax.config and
mgetty.config now ("fax-send-flow" and "fax-rec-flow" keywords,
arguments are one of "rts", "hard", "xon", "soft", "both" or
"none").
* the path to login.config can be set from mgetty.config now (via
"login-conf-file <filename>"), if needed on a per-port basis
* faxrunqd will now send multiple jobs for the same fax number
(up to a configurable maximum number of pages, default = 10)
for the same telephone number in one call to "sendfax", especially on
very busy systems with many short jobs to the same number this
is a big time saver.
* faxspool can use an external configuration file ("faxspool.rules")
to specify which programs to use to do file -> conversions, and to
specify file name to type mappings (".text -> ASCII, .fax -> G3"),
see the sample file for details.
* some new modem types are auto-detected now
* Caller ID for the Elink 343p is handled correctly (thanks)
* Caller ID and called MSN number are passed to external programs
(new_fax, voice shell, etc.)
* WWW frontend improvements (still pretty experimental)
* documentation updates
* new modem query commands in "mid"
* LOTS of voice/ stuff changes (see voice/ChangeLog).
still lacking:
* proper flow control handling for the ELSA modems in voice mode
(AT+IFC / AT\Q3 stuff)
* new cnd-program return codes
Because of time pressure on my side, this version isn't tested in all
aspects as well as my usual releases (read: some of the code has to be
"obviously correct", as I didn't test it at all), so watch out. If you
don't need the features, stay with 1.1.20.
