About a month ago i had posted a thread about when a who or w
command is issued on a redhat 5.2 box AutoPPP users fail to show up as
being logged in. I left an incident with redhat but still haven't
heard back anything. So I updated to 6.0 to see if it would resolve
the problem. It didn't. I want to go over my configurations one last time
to make sure it's not me.
int the login.config file the autoppp line reads:
/AutoPPP/ - - /usr/sbin/pppd login
the /etc/ppp/options file:
asyncmap 0
crtscts
lock
modem
netmask 255.255.255.0
proxyarp
ms-dns 209.31.54.4
ms-dns 209.31.54.5
and /etc/ppp/options.ttyXX:
209.31.54.5:209.31.54.36
And finally heres a little sample of the logs:
07/30 11:19:23 yC4 login: use login config file
