Thank you for the hint ! This utility is exactly, what i need.
Unfortunately it does not yet work on Fax-G3-files from mgetty
with an ELSA 28.8 TQV:

fax2tiff -o fax.tif fax2.g3
fax2.g3: à: Read error at scanline 0.

Any ideas ?
