I'd say your computer will explode in about three days.

How am I supposed to give advice about this, without knowing the system
type you're using, the mgetty version, the shared library versions, etc.?

A rough guess on Linux would be a new shared C (or M) library, and a
corrupted "ldconfig.cache", which will be fixed by rebooting or calling
"ldconfig -v".
