[mgetty]: Problems with hanging sendfax (Solaris 2.5)

Hi all!

I have a problem with sendfax from the mgetty distribution (0.99-Aug96)
and I didn't find a solution yet (although I already browsed through the
mail-archive of this list).

I am using sendfax under Solaris 2.5 with a ELSA Microlink 28.8 TQV
(fax-device ttyb). The "faxrunq" runs every 5 minutes to deliver faxes.
This works fine.

In some cases however, the fax can't be delivered (AT+FDT -> some error
(-6), abort fax send!,  +FHS:-6) and after 120 seconds the "transfer"
gets aborted (Warning: got alarm signal, mdm_read_byte: read returned
-1: Interrupted system call, mdm_get_line: cannot read byte, return:
Interrupted system call). The sendfax process then hangs (the last line
of the log is "fax_send: 'AT+FCLASS=0'" and all following calls of the
"faxrunq" fail because of the lock.

So the main problem is, that all subsequent faxes can't be delivered. I
have to kill "sendfax" and then everything works fine again until the
next connection fails.
