Hmmm, which libm? This sounds more like a libm* phaenomenom (sp???), or
a general userland<->kernel issue.

I can only say, I haven't seen this error before on my Linux machines,
and since it disappeared, we can't diagnose it either.  If you really
want to know what it was, you might want to search for "fpu_control"
in the C library sources and in the kernel sources -- maybe some insights
can be found that way. Alternatively, ask in the "linux-gcc" mailing
list (linux.dev.gcc) whether someone can help.

Maybe the memory ran out, or the number of available file descriptors,
or ld.so got confused. Who knows.
