I can't help you, except to say that I'm running vgetty w/o these kind of
problems on a P166 with FreeBSD 2.2-stable. Some ideas:
- Maybe you could try upgrading to 2.2-stable?
- Maybe we can swap kernel config files. I've got nothing special in it though.
- Have you tried a different serial card?
The only time I've seen these tty buffer level overflows was when I was
running ppp sessions on a P100 with FreeBSD 2.1.5+. Since running 2.2-stable
on that machine, most of them have disappeared.
