What device for Ghostscript with mgetty ?

Hi,

In ChangeLog og mgetty-1.1.9 :

* fax/faxspool.in: make faxg3 the default driver for ghostscript,
as it is compiled-in by default in ghostscript 3, 4 and 5, and the
output quality in gs 5.01 is better than that of dfaxhigh.

If I use faxg3 as device for ghoscript, I have problems with multi-page
fax. Transmission fails with :

Transmission error: +FHNG:51 (RSPREC error)

or

Transmission error: +FHNG:52 (No response to MPS repeated 3 times)

With device=dfaxhigh, it works. Is there something special to do to use
faxg3 ? Is the quality really better ? BTW, is there some tool allowing
to check fax files ? (viewfax for example is happy with these faxg3
files).
