mgetty & RH Linux 4.1

Hi
I would appreciate very much if anybody could help me with these questions:
- Can I install mgetty 1.1.8-3 on RH Linux 4.1 without compilation?
- Would it be harmfull to my PPP server already installed with uugetty?
- I would install mgetty for UUCP hosting (dialing-in) and would appreciate
if somebody gives me the init strings configured for my external modem
"Smartlink 2834A", or just point me where I can find that init string?
