Modem gives error

Well, I can understand Gert's "unwillingness" to support such a broken
feature (in the terms of unreliability in case of load). If you look at
many of the problems that come up in normal operation, explaining why
the receiving or sending of faxes in Class 1 mysteriously fails from
time to time (I was compiling the kernel and the fax was totally garbled
or some such) will just be too much...
