g32pbm -l and pages longer than 11"

 Hello, everyone. I just subscribed to this list
 5 minutes ago and normally I would lurk a while
 before posting. As it happens I am having a bit
 of a crisis here as I have 3 constantly busy
 fax lines dumping faxes out to a HP LaserJet 5si.

 You see, it seems that some people (idiots) insist
 on sending us faxes longer than 11 inches.

 What does g32pbm -l do with the extra length? Am
 I correct in my understanding from the man pages
 that it is just cut off?

 Is there a better LaserJet conversion program?
