A question about the USR Courier.

Hi, 
Will the USR Courier _reliably_ (and that is the key) do data and Fax (both
inbound and outbound) with Mgetty. I have had it with cheap modems that
only work some of the time. I was going to get a Hayes Optima but with all
of the talk about Rockwell dropping support for Class 2 fax I think I need 
to look else ware. Is anyone using the Courier with Mgetty+Send-fax? If so
are you happy with it. If not can someone recommend something better?

Given the Rockwell chip problem, Other than USR products what are the options
here in the US?
