vgetty keeps Data-calls as Voice

Hi!

If a user, whose modem doesn't send the "data beep",
logs in on my Elsa Microlink 28.8 TQV, vgetty first plays
the welcome message, recognizes silence and then starts the
modem negotiation. Well, everything is fine so far...

except that the "silence" is kept as rmd voice file. :(

It is very annoying to have several "incomming calls" on the
answering machine, just because some people called the bbs.

I think a "if (data_negotiation_successful) unlink(voicefile);"
in the appropriate place would fix the problem.

well, i just browsed the voice.conf and saw the
"rec_always_keep" feature...
It seems to be appropriate except that I'd like to keep messages
with DTMF-Tones played.

I think it is less likely that someone says something important and
then starts a modem connection than that someone accidentally presses
a DTMF-Button.

If you're not going to change this in the distribution, please tell me
where I have to change the source.

I use vgetty out of the mgetty1.1.9 archive.

Nevertheless mgetty and vgetty are really great tools!
(just wanted to say that :)

regards,
		Christian

P.S.:
There is another thing with vgetty (perhaps mgetty too) that
I already fixed myself: vgetty won't accept a "rings 1" in the config;
however,I can't see the reason why...
