vgetty hardware problem ?

Hello,

I'm trying to configure vgetty so that my own script is used. But I
always get these messages:

09/06 19:50:54 yS0  cannot set controlling tty (ioctl): Operation not
permitted
09/06 19:50:54 yS0  reading ring_type ring configuration from config
file /usr/local/etc/mgetty+sendfax/voice.conf
09/06 19:50:55 yS0  vgetty: Executing shell script
/home/faxadmin/bin/vb.sh with shell /bin/sh
09/06 19:50:56 yS0  vgetty: Modem returned ERROR: Interrupted system
call
09/06 19:50:56 yS0  closing voice modem device

1. I don't know what "cannot set controlling tty (ioctl): Operation
not permitted" means. I didn't had the problem after my last
compiling.

2. What is "Modem returned ERROR: Interrupted system call"? I have the
same problem when I use the dtmf.sh script from the package as dtmf
file.

I hope to solve that problem soon.
