mgetty FATAL: yD0 cannot get TIO

I have ZyXel U-1496E+ and mgetty-1.1.17 running on ttyD0.

>From time to time I have the following message on my screen:
    mgetty FATAL: yD0 cannot get TIO

An extract from my log file looks like this:
