Hi,
I have recently been experiencing a problem where mgetty/vgetty will work
for a day or so fine. Then it seems to stop receiving the RING from the
modem. It sends initstrings and detects the voice modem but the ring
doesn't come through. It's an usr 33600 voice modem.

I reboot and it doesn't work. I actually have to turn the machine off and
on again. I realise this is probably a problem with the modem but I'm
wondering if anyone has experience with this type of modem. Note: ats41=0
rings ats41=1 does not when the problem is there. Yet after the poweroff,
it'll work again. Note2: ats41=1 is the distinctive ring register.
